G-Dragon (Big Bang) sparks controversy after tagging Sana in Coldplay concert post instead of TWICE’s official account

G-Dragon has recently stirred debate after tagging TWICE member Sana in an Instagram Story about Coldplay’s concert, rather than tagging the group’s official account.

British rock band Coldplay recently collaborated with K-pop girl group TWICE to release a special version of the song “We Pray.” As part of the collaboration, TWICE joined Coldplay as guest performers for six consecutive nights during their Music Of The Spheres world tour in South Korea.

Alongside TWICE, Coldplay’s Seoul concerts at Goyang Stadium also featured surprise appearances by Jin (BTS) on April 19 and Rosé (BLACKPINK), who performed “APT.” with lead singer Chris Martin on April 22.

These high-profile concerts drew attention from many celebrities. G-Dragon (Big Bang) attended the April 22 concert alongside producer Code Kunst and actor Jung Hae In, who both appeared on his variety show “Good Day.” G-Dragon shared footage from the concert on his personal Instagram, including a clip of TWICE performing — but instead of tagging the group, he tagged only Sana, adding a surprised emoji next to her name.

This specific action led to immediate online debate, as G-Dragon and Sana have no known connection. Many netizens questioned why he chose to tag only Sana, speculating whether he might be a fan or if there was a more personal reason behind it. Some even joked that it might be a “Lovestagram” — a term used when celebrities subtly hint at romantic relationships through Instagram posts.

As the speculation intensified, G-Dragon deleted the post, which only fueled further criticism. Some fans pointed out that this wasn’t the first time he had stirred controversy by interacting with female idols online.

“Imagine if it were your idol,” one commenter said. “If someone of the opposite sex tags them on their personal account — not the group’s — people will talk. Even if it’s innocent, rumors will spread. Would you be okay with that?”

Another user added, “Tagging only Sana was odd. If it wasn’t wrong, why did he delete the story?”

Others criticized G-Dragon for repeatedly liking or tagging photos and videos of female idols, calling his online behavior “strange” and suggesting he should stop.
